2013 LUPUS CANADA SCHOLARSHIP  

Lupus Canada is proud to announce the launch of the first-ever Lupus Canada Scholarship program. We will be offering four (4) one-time scholarships of $1,000 CAN in 2013 to students diagnosed with Lupus, who are entering into or currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution.  For more information, please visit:

Many thanks to Lupus Canada for its financial support of $33,000 in 2012

allowing the Canadian Network for the Improved Outcomes in Systemic

Lupus Erythematosus (CaNIOS) to pursue its research in lupus. We are

looking forward to our joint meeting scheduled in September 2013 which

will allow us to renew our collaboration and discuss the strategies to

better improve the quality of life of people living with lupus.

We are pleased to share with all those interested in lupus research the

'SLICC Newsletter for their partners in lupus research' for the Summer

2013.  It is a good occasion to remind all that four CaNIOS centres are

participating to the different research projects and activities carried on

by the Systemic Lupus International Collaborating Clinics (SLICC).  They

are Montreal-McGill (CaNIOS members Drs Ann Clarke and Sasha Bernatsky),

Halifax (CaNIOS member Dr. John Hanly), Winnipeg (CaNIOS member

Dre Christine Peschken) and Quebec City (CaNIOS member Dr. Paul R Fortin).
