Aspirations, Hopes and Dreams (www.aspreva.com/

The word Aspreva is derived from the English word aspiration, Latin, for hope – spero, and French for dream – reve.

Driven by a desire to change the lives of people living with diseases for which there are currently few proven and effective treatments, our aim is to develop evidence-based medicines for inadequately served patient populations.

With approximately 6,000 such illnesses, but only just over 200 approved medicines available for their treatment, at Aspreva we recognise the important need to champion the development of evidence-based medicines for these patients.

Aspreva achieves this through collaboration with pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies. Our approach is to identify and develop new indications for medicines already approved, thus extending the benefits of existing modern treatments to those patients who currently lack access to effective, properly tested, medicines.

Our driving passion at Aspreva is to give new hope to these inadequately served patients. We know that the best way to effect change is to create long-term productive relationships, not only with our pharmaceutical partner companies, but also with the clinical and patient communities that we serve.
